Differences in the internal architecture of each processor family from AMD will have different values for the internal MHz of the processor and the comparative performance of each. For example, AMD has several processors that are rated at 2800+ but they have very different real clock speeds.

Model Name MHz L2 Cache CPU Family Core support by zv5000 3000

AMD Athlon XP-M 2800+ 1600 128kb 15 K8 Yes
AMD Athlon XP-M 3000+ 1600 256kb 15 K8 Yes
AMD Athlon XP-M 2800+ 1400 256kb 15 K8 No
AMD Athlon XP 2800+ 2083 512kb 10 or 8 K7 No
AMD Athlon XP-M 2800+ 2133 512kb 10 or 8 K7 No
AMD Athlon XP 2800+ 2250 256kb 10 or 8 K7 No

Newer processors are capable of running more instructions per clock cycle because of a more advanced internal architecture, so a lower clock speed can give the same performance as older processors with higher clock speeds. For this reason, it appears that the newer processors are slower than older ones when comparing the internal clock speeds alone.

To check the processor family and performance on the notebook, perform the following steps:

Right-click My Computer and select Properties. The name of the processor should be displayed and will be similar to AMD Athlon XP 3000+.

Click Start and then Run. Type msinfo32 and click OK. Read the processor value for the family ID. This value refers to the Family ID and Processor Speed.

Alps touchpad steps

Tapping:

1. If you do not know the administrator password, contact your system administrator. After you complete this procedure, any video adapter driver you have installed will be disabled, and Windows XP will use default VGA drivers. 1. Insert your Windows XP CD-ROM into the computer CD-ROM drive or DVD-ROM drive, and then restart your computer from the CD-ROM.

Note Some computers may require that you modify the basic input/output system (BIOS) settings before you can start the computer from a CD-ROM. For information about how to modify the BIOS, see your computer documentation.
2. At the Welcome to Setup screen, press R to start the Recovery Console.
3. Press the number key that corresponds to the installation that you want to repair, and then press ENTER.
4. Type the password for the administrator account of that installation, and then press ENTER. You receive a drive:WINDOWS> prompt, where drive is the drive on which Windows XP is installed.
5. Type listsvc, and then press ENTER.
6. Make sure that the Agp440 service is listed, and that the startup type is set to "Boot".
7. Press ESC.
8. Type disable agp440, and then press ENTER.
9. You receive a message that the registry setting for this service was found, and that its current startup state is "service_disabled".
10. Type exit, and then press ENTER.
11. If you are prompted to start in Safe mode or Normal mode, start in Normal mode.
12. Log on to your computer.
Windows XP includes default video drivers that make it possible for your monitor to work. However, some features may not work as you expect with these default drivers. Update your motherboard chipset video drivers periodically. To do so, visit your computer manufacturer's Web site, and download the most recent drivers for your video adapter.

Install graphics drivers from Hp.com as per your notebook model which will resolve the issue.

Adding Xp to server 2003

Adding and Securing a Computer Running Windows XP Professional by Using Windows Small Business Server 2003

http://www.microsoft.com/smallbusiness/support/articles/xp2sbs.mspx

Add websiteto trusted zone in Norton Internet Security

Adding web site or exceptions in Norton Internet Security :

1.
